Chile - Antofagasta

Interesting assembly of industrial architecture built in 1885 by the former Antofagasta Nitrate and Railway Company and the Bolivia Railway Company. A neo-classical style, appreciated in wooden window and doorframes finished with Guayaquil cane and lime plaster. Buildings now given National Monument status.

Sent by my great friend Hernán from Santiago in Chile.

Hello Friend! I'm glad you received this postcard. I've been to this station, which is nowadays both a museum and a station. It has one of those typical English phoneboxes inside!
