It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Satakunta region. The municipality has a population of 5,711 (31 March 2010)[2] and covers an area of 184.89 square kilometres (71.39 sq mi) of which 1.97 km2 (0.76 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 31.22 inhabitants per square kilometre (80.9 /sq mi). There are two major sights in Nakkila, the church and the film studio Villilä, often referred as "Hollywood of Finland".
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
